-75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (This probably applies to half of the world's population)
-In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.
-Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%.
-One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a U-Washington study.
-Lack of water is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.
-Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.
-A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.
-Drinking just 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.
It can be said that the chemistry of life is water chemistry. For the body to function properly, it must be hydrated properly. Moreover, the qualities and properties of the water we drink can determine the quality of our health.
Water adjusts the body's temperature and assists in digestion. It removes toxins from the body and also makes necessary body fluids. The chemical reactions that support life take place in a water medium, with water being an important reactant or product of these reactions.
1. The adult human body is made up of 60-75% water.
2. The brain is made up of about 85% water.
3. Blood, which carries nutrients and oxygen throughout the body, is about 90% water.
You see, water carries life energy - water is your lifeline!

How Acidic Are You?
9 out of 10 Americans are ACIDIC! It has been proven by doctors around the world that exess body acid and acidic ash may promote the many following conditions: Aging Symptoms (aches & pains), Arthritis, Asthma, Chronic Fatigue, Cancer, Low Energy, Gout, Hay fever, Multiple Sclerosis, Obesity, Skin Problems, Sleeping Problems, and many more health issues...
The problem is called Acidosis. Most people who suffer from unbalanced pH are acidic. This condition forces the body to borrow minerals including calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium, from vital organs and bones to buffer (neutralize) the acid and safely remove it from the body. Because of this strain, the body can suffer severe and prolonged damage due to high acidity. A condition that may go undetected for years.
Just as acid rain in the environment damages our external ecosystem, so internal acids damage our internal ecosystem. Without knowing it, most people consume diets high in acid forming foods.
The reason acidosis is so common in our society is mostly due to the typical American diet, which is far too high in acid-producing foods like fresh vegetables.
Additionally, we eat acid-producing processed foods like white four and sugar and drink acid-producing beverages like coffee and carbonated soft drinks. We use too many drgs, which are acid forming; and we use artificial chemical sweeteners like NutraSweet, Equal, or aspartame, which are extremely acid forming.
This creates an acid overload for our bodies. This results in the loss of precious bone building minerals, which are used for buffering these internal acids.
